Topsoil was taken off at the E half of the trench.  It produced 1 box of tiles.

The second and third layers were taken off.  They produced 3 boxes of tiles, 1/2 box of sherds, 6 rocchetti (no pattern visible), 1 stool leg (# ) and one human face (badly worn and chipped. Lips, cheeks and pointed chin preserved.  Inside rough and slightly curved).
