The east end of the trench was taken down until the same yellowish-white leve as at the west end began to appear.  At the base of the sotne outcrop, tiles were visible between the stones.  However, the rock did not appear to continue all the way down; a brown layer which could be fill ran from 100 cm to between 190 cm and 210 cm depth.  In this area were found an unidentifiable piece of frieze, a section of cornice, and a piece of banqueting frieze similar to 19660038.

Pottery was abundant and general similar throughout the trench.  Tiles became larger and better preserved toward 150 cm depth, then worsened as the trench approached

2 meters.  Despite slight discrepencies in depth due to sloping ground, frieze, sima, and cornice were found both in the gray and in the brown levels.  The last piece of frieze as well as several pieces of tile was discovered directly above the yellowish-white layer.

The trench, approximately fifty meters west of the agger and parallel to it, was cut 5 meters long and 2 meters wide.  Depth was taken down to about 50 cm with a yield of half a box of tiles, mostly small and worn, and very little pottery.
