Began 1 st pick pass moving east to west in the trench. The soil was gray with mottling of olive brown and red terracotta/plaster flecks. The texture of the soil was loose with some ares of more moist soil in the SW corner near several large pieces of terracotta. Very few tree roots remain in the trench with the majority of the remaing roots in the western edge of the trench. The soil also has a higher concentration of pottery and terracotta than previous Loci. Began 2nd pick pass in the trench moving east to west. After the pick pass in the eastern half of the trench a vessel tondo was seen with in the soil. The vessel was defined using trowels. An area approx. 40cm in diameter and 15cm deep was excavated around the vessel. Within this area a higher quanity of pottery (1/2 latte box) and Bone (4 pieces) were found than any other area of this size in the trench. A stamped impasto fradment was also found within this area.

The soil in the eastern and western sections of the 2nd pick pass was gray with mottling of olive and terracotta. The soil is loose and has some palm size stones/rocks in it. A few pieces of burnt terracotta were located within this pick pass. The floor is worked to be brought down to the level just below were the special find #2 was found in order to even out the trench.
