This morning excavation began in the same manner as yesterday. All three Loci (3, 4, and 5) will be excavated simultaneously, the goal keeping all three loci level, in particular putting back to the south in Locus 3, the locus that contains the terra cotta piping. While detailing the area surrounding the pipe, a tooth (Special Find #4) was found.

Special Find #4: Tooth

Elevation: 28.21 m. A.E.

Coordinates: 170.74 E/ 40.77 S

Troweling and defining of the area surrounding the terra cotta pipe continues. It seems as if an end to the piping has been found as the ends are very finished but further troweling will be done to ensure there is no piping present underneath. Excavation of Locus 4 and Locus 5 will continue simultaneously. There is still little to no material present in any of the loci. Excavation of all three loci will continue in the manner until lunch.

Post-lunch focus returned to the question of the terminus of the terra cotta piping. It has been decided to trowel down a few centimeters in order to ensure there is no more of the feature present underneath.
