A.M.

We continued to define the rocks in the center of the trench.

We began a leveling trowel pass in preparation for the closing of Locus 1.  Locus 2 is now visible almost throughout the trench in the form of a lighter, sandier soil.  It should be exposed throughout within the hour.

During leveling, a piece of coarse pottery or terracotta was found in the southeast corner of the trench.  It appears to preserve red paint (?).
