STRATEGY: Strategy is to remove the architectural features f102, f103 and f109 and to go down in the same trench until any archaeological features.

SUMMARY: We removed f102, f103 and f109 and continued to excavate the overall trench. As it is all the same context we did not change the lot (1268). The northern baulk of the trench N495, E515 is included to lot 1268. The texture is mixed soil with hundreds of sherds, lithics & bones. This trench also contains a large number of sling balls. Within lot 1268 we found 6 sling balls (sf414-419) (for the elevation and dimensions look at sf list). After slight changes, we decided to change the lot number (for the end of lot 1268, see sketch). We began to excavate lot 1269. It also covers all of the trench, including the northern baulk of trench N495, E515. In lot 1269 we found 7 sling balls (sf 420-426) and a spindle whorl (sf 427) (for elevation and dimensions please look at sf list).
