Daily Log

June 24, 2004

No excavation was done on Wednesday, June 23, but work began again on Thursday, June 24.  The entire day was spent cleaning the scarp on the western side of the area being excavated where it falls away into T-22.  Three bowls (30 cm. diameter, 10 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments were recovered.  A latte box of pottery, bone and teeth was found.  Included among the pottery was several pieces with red slip still preserved.  No firm find spot was possible for the painted pottery.  Also, three small fragments of bronze were found.  One pithos frgment was found among the terracotta fragments.
