Work was continued on removing the tile fall present in D/71-73. Soil around the tile is orangy brown with heavy plaster inclusions. Carbon is present, but not heavy.
In an area within E/71-72, an area of heavy carbon concentration has been found. Soil is black and very distinctive when compared to the soil characteristic of the tile concentration. Carbon and pottery is found within this soil. An unusual perforated pottery fragment was also found.

It is not yet determinable whether or not hte tile fall material rests on top of this black soil. When work progresses in the D meter, this will be better clarified.
