A.M.

The day began with the taking of depths.  The depths were as follows:

• NW corner:  26.98 m absolute elevation
• NE corner:   26.95 m absolute elevation
• SE corner:   27.01 m absolute elevation
• SW corner:  27.00 m absolute elevation
• center:        26.95 m absolute elevation

The datum point, located in the large tree north of the trench, remains set at 29.000 m.

After depths were taken, the baulk walls were trimmed.  After this, work was done defining the tile packing in the Southeast corner which had accumulated dirt and debris during the year.  The large rock in the Northwest corner was also defined.

P.M.

We began to level the floor of the trench by bringing down high spots, most of which were concentrated around the center of the trench.

Work today ended early because of a thunderstorn.
