Supplemental Find #1

Scalloped Buccheroid

Locus 4

Friday 17 July 2009

AM

Pick passed the trench moving east to west. During this pick pass it appeared the soil was turning from a gray mottled with olive brown soil and white, terracotta (plaster), and carbon inclusions to a finer, more medium brown soil with few white inclusions. This new medium brown soil was also producing less material (pottery, terracotta, bone). The floor surface was scraped to fully reveal the new medium brown soil with white inclusions. Baulk Walls were trimmed.

PM

Trimmed Baulk walls, scraped floor and clipped exposed baulk wall roots in preparation for the opening of Locus 5. Locus 5 elevations (opening) taken.
