Cut finished up to dike corresponding to trench 1 in Rectangle 13- this entailed excavation of sections 36 and part of 35, B-H. Section now ready for profile. The bottom of the trench under approx. grids E, F and G 36 and 35 consists of soft, slightly brownish-yellow soil rather than the usual yellow galestra- this soil, however, is not artifact bearing; below it is galestra. Absence of artifacts makes identification of this soil change as due to disturbance difficult.
