Total pottery recovered: 237 sherds

A relatively low amount of pottery was recovered from T101 in the 2022 season. Half the amount of pottery found came from Locus 7 as Locus 7 was the only locus previously unexcavated. The majority of pottery found was impasto and coarseware; relatively little fine impasto and bucchero was found and no obviously imported ceramics were recovered.

Loci 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 were all previously excavated and yielded low amounts of pottery, totaling 128 (54%) sherds in total between all five. Locus 6 was the locus containing the southern extent of the Archaic wall and also yielded a low number of pottery with only 4 (2%) which is plausible given its architectural makeup. Locus 7 was the locus containing the terracotta pipe and all soil held within the pipe. This locus was previously unexcavated and outside of Locus 6 is the only other contextually sound locus given its undisturbed nature. Locus 7 yielded the highest amount of pottery at 104 sherds (45%). The pottery from Locus 7 is also not as heavily abraded as the pottery found in previous loci, indicating that it suffered less from erosional abrasion as the others.
