Trench Layout

Trench Layout: CA-59 is a 4 X 4 meter trench with the absolute coordinates of: 1 east/19 north, 1 east/23 north, 5 east/19 north, 5 east/ 23 north (all numerical designations are in meters). Four trenches were laid out in this area, each 4 X 4 meters and all separated by 1 meter. CA-59 is the NW quadrant of this group of trenches, with CA-58 directly east, CA-56 directly south and CA-57 to the southeast. The dirt dump for CA-59 is approximately 7.5 meters into the woods to the northwest of the trench. The terra cotta dump is approximately 15 meters south of the Archaic well.
