Boxes of tiles: 4

Boxes of pottery: 0

Work continued on CA28.  At a depth c. 1.60 m GG1, dark gray layer of clay mixed among stones.

This layer continued through to GG4-5.  What was originally thought to be bedrock and a continuation of that found in NN1, in sector HH1 proved to be a large almost cubic stone whose dimensions were 50 cm x 45 cm x 40 cm.  Beneath this were joined several fragments of tiles.
