All the pottery recovered from clean-up operation was saved. It can be classified into 5 basic categories which are defined below:
Bucchero: black pottery with a polished black finish and a black biscuit. The fabric is fine clay.
Orangeware: Orange colored pottery with an orange biscuit. The biscuit may also be burned black occasionally. The fabric is a coarser grade of clay than bucchero. Large orangeware fragment will be defined as coarseware.
Fine orangeware: Orange colored pottery with orange biscuit. The fabric is a fine orange clay.
Coarseware: Large vessel fragments or pottery of a very sandy clay. May be orange or a dark gray color.
Impasto: Gray pottery, somewhat like orangeware but not the distinctive orange color. Large impasto fragments shall be classified as coarseware.
For a detailed analysis of the pottey, the pieces themselves should be inspected. The following summary describes common as well as unusual shapes. All the pottery is stored in "M. Tobey Book VII (1982) Representative Pottery Box I with G. Warden Book V Addendum."

Fine Orangeware = ~5% of total pottery recovered
