The morning began with a pick through the 1m by 4m strip running along the northern section of the trench keeping in mind the rocks because of the potential linear feature present in the northeastern section of T-94. The soil is still full of organic materials although not as much as at the start of excavation. While picking, a nail was found and was deemed a special find.

Once the dirt from this pick was cleared, a leveling pick was done pulling all the way to the south. While clearing the soil from this most recent pick, a crucible fragment was found.

Coordinates: 192.9 E/ 76.37 S

Elevation: 24.42 m AE

Once the dirt from this pick was cleared, another one was begun in the northern 1m by 4m strip of the trench. Substantially more material is present in the NW corner of the trench, the area of T-95 that is directly to the east of the linear stone feature in T-94. This corner of the trench is producing bone, pottery, and architectural terracotta. While sorting the dirt from this pick, a sherd of Medieval pottery was found.

Light baulk walling and root clipping was done before the break for lunch.

Locus 1 still does not show any evidence of rock features and is still considered to be mostly erosional.
