Trench 2G was completely finished. Work in stratum C extended into trench 2H during the morning, while for the afternoon, a new trench, 2I, directly east of 2H, was laid out, 5M. by 10M. The new trench extends to bedrock visible at ground level, and should include the remainder of the dump at this end.
