A.M.

Began to carefully thin floors and baulks using only trowels.  Soil on floor level is still solidly packed with yellowish-brown soil and remains designated as Locus 18.  Baulks and floors trimmed for the entirety of the morning in anticipation of impending floor level.  One find was designated from baulk trim of several bronze flakes (Find #1) and one find of a bucchero strut was designated from the floor level (Find #2).

P.M.

Baulks and floors continued to be leveled with trowels.  Soil on the floor level continues to remain densely packed and yellowish in color.  A ridged impasto rim was designated the only find of the afternoon.

In all probability, this will be the last day of work in this trench.  Work in T26N will continue in hopes of reaching a Villanovan level, but work here will be concluded.  Baulk stratigraphy and large stone/column base will be drawn by architect in the following week.
