Began another 5 cm cut into E 149-50 S 58-59. Beginning to see some burnt terracotta and carbon flecks in the area which may be an indicator that the burn layer is in close proximity. A new locus disignation was given, locus 5 and was munselled at 2.5 Y 3/2. depth 62 cm bd.

Took another 5 cm cut into E 149-50 S 60. The area still has a good amount of stale adn contains much less material. It was decided to take one more cut in E 149-50 S60 before returning to the northern portion of the trench. The soil was of a different colour adn because it is lower than

E 149-50 S 58-59 a new locus disignation was given, locus 6. Munselled at 2.5 Y 4/2. SE 73 cm bf; SW 79 cm bd; NW 74 cm bd; NE 76 cm bd.
