Tiles- 5
Work resumed in the last two cuts. Cut 2 marks the end of the fossa proper, being interrupted in grid 27, GG-HH by galestra at 1 meter and HH-NN by bedrock. This leaves a remaininh pocket (grid 26-27=GG-II) of the small stone stratum B which is being excavated to its base. On the south side of the cut, GG-JJ 30, this stone stratum seems to pick up again. THese grids are being excavated also to galestra or bedrock.
Cut 3 has been reduced to an L shaped cut defined GG-JJ= 32-39 plus KK-NN=37-39 due to the presence of large boulders and a large stump in the remaining area which is most certainly sterile and bedrock based.
