Backfill Summary

Backfill Summary

The floor of K-L(M)/63-70 remains slightly uneven (see P.95 of TTIII 1992).  The entirety of meters K-L(M)/63 has been into the olive brown soil stratum to a depth of circa 135 cm as has roughly half of K/64.  Meters L(M)/65-70 have been excavated through the dark brown soil with carbon inclusions to the top of the olive brown soil to a depth of 120-125 cm.  The majority of K-L(M)/70, however, is still largely occupied by the projection of a large stump.  K/65-67 as well as half of K/64 remain at a depth of circa 110 cm, preserving part of the dark brown soil with carbon stratum.  Pieces of heavy plastic were placed over the enitre area of the trench floor and the area was covered with 30-40 cm of fill from the clump used this year for T-26.

3 large bags of pithos fragments, which were excavated over the course of the summer, primarily from the K-L(M)/64-65 tile line, were taken to storage.
