In the previous four days, backfill was removed from EPOC 4, including the backfilled soil from the T-58 sounding of 2014 and 2015. This morning, backfilled soil that had fallen beneath the tarps was removed, using trowels and brushes. We took special care to remove all backfill from the W wall of EPOC 4 and from the building's NW corner, as T-86 will be located in this area.
Before scraping up all remaining backfill, opening photos of T-86 were taken, to document the state of the trench before any deposits were removed. No materials from the removed backfill were saved or documented.
Additionally, a N-S running longitudinal baseline was shot, using a transit, along gridline 91E. A datum was established in a tree located between T-57 and 58 at 27.74m A.E.

Continued to remove backfill from in and around T-86, using trowels and brushes. No materials were kept.
