pottery - 4/5 latte

M-N/63, 85-100 bd

Pick cut. At about 2 cms into cut in N/63 severe soil change to heavily muttled material similar to destructional material in other parts of T-26. Muttled dark brown with inclusions of small plaster and tile and some charcoal. Recovery of artifacts increased dramatically. Tile mixed largish and small pieces - some burnt and pretty worn. At 98 cms bd an iron pin was founf in N/63. At similar depths several buccherp finds were recovered. Pottery mostly impasto, some badly worn, others less so. As trench moves north, the disturbed nature of soil dimishes slighly but noticeably.
