A.M.

A 20cm cut was taken in meters N3W13-12 to define baulk stratigraphy of the possible feature located in meter N4W13. The presence of the dark grayish brown soil in N3W13 was not detected in N3W12. The soil here mainly consisted of the light olive brown soil which is very moist and clayish, with less of a concentration of archaeological material.

Meters N4-5W15 were drawn on graph paper indicating the position of the rocks, tile and pottery fragments ( ).

The ending depths for the day in meters N3W13-12 were 23 cm b.d. for each.

Approximately 15 pieces of tile fragments were found (3cm-1cm) and 19 fragments of pottery consisting of impasto ware, coarseware and orangeware. In addition 2 fragments of bone were found.

1 piece of chert was also found, out of context in the wheelbarrow.
