Tile II 1/2
Pottery I
Work continued eastward with picks and mestiline in meters EE-II, 10. Tile is still being encountered at the 40-60cm level. Also of note are the following items:
1) A number of stones were uncovered in meter FF-10 at ~55cm. These are in a line directly west of those shown on the western wall of T23-1979 Extension S. at approximately the same level. It is where these stones appear on the T23-1979 Extension S. wall that the stratigraphy breaks down, ie. the obvious layers of soil are interrupted
2) The cluster of stones in NH-9 was intermixed with tile fragments. There was also tile beneath this cluster. These stones were removed and find number six was revealed.

It should be noted that ~6 bronze fragments were found in various meters excavated today.

Tile I
Pottery 1/2
Work continued with pick and mestaline towards the east. The following items should be noted:
1) a great deal of soft plaster was encountered in meter HH-10
2) pithos fragments continue to be found in the meters excavated today
3) tile continues to be abundant, the soil remains reddish with bits of carbonized wood, and very litle pottery is being found
