Introduction
This season it has been decided to return to the area encompassed by the Southwest corner of the archaic building on Piano del Tesoro. Especially the area in and just norht of R13, R14, R15.
These areas were originally excavated during the 1968-71 seasons (See T.Gantz III, I. Edlund I, II and J. Wright III).* In the course od these excavations below the floor of the archaic building a series of large (approximately 1-5 m thick) foundations were revealed. These included portions of a east-west wall with three walls extending southward fron it; one each in R13, R14, and R15.
It is hoped that this season's work will help clarify the overall extent of the structure and its relationship to the other structures on Piano del Tesoro, both chronologically and functionally.
*In addition see P. Small II.
This area will be excivated using the mastergrid established in 19 . For further details see pg.
