The transit was used this morning to extend the southern borders of CC-7 nine meters to the east, where the southwest corner of CC-8 was placed. The transit was used to extend a line 90° to the north from the western boundary of the trench. Triangulation was used to set the northeast corner of the 3 x 3 meter trench. The area of the trench was then cleared just outside the trench boundaries.

SE 96S, 167E 1.08m. below datum
SW 96S, 164E 1.14m. below datum
One special find was made this morning in the western baulk wall, an iron tack. Charcoal/carbon deposits were found across the southwest sector of the trench, and bedrock in the northwest sector.

This afternoon, two-thirds of a pick pass was completed across Locus 1. In total, one special find was made, no pottery or terracotta was retrieved.
