Bone Analysis

A good deal of bone was found in CA 72 during the 2012 excavation season. In total, there were 462 fragments of bone. Of the total fragments, several were cataloged including 20120093

20120173 preserves cut marks, and is therefore a record of ancient butchery. 20120093

20120093 20120093 , a worked antler finial, would probably have been attached to another object as a handle. Both the worked bone fragments, 20120116 and 20120159 20120159 20120159 , probably would have been decorative elements.
