Daily Log
June 16, 2003
AM
Work was continued today in the southern meters of the trench to level out the area. It is looking more and more like a tile spread coming across the southern meters. The tiles are being defined to see how the tiles spread over the trench. Note: More carbon is also being found. The tiles seem to be resting on a lighter colored, harder soil. Once the whole south meter area is leveled a new locus will be made.
PM
After lunch, tiles are defined and the trench continued to be leveled. A bucchero stem and base are on the trench level. The vessel fragments are shattered, but intact. The piece will not be removed today due to rain. Work is ended early due to rain.
