Continued to level area within E128-130, S13-14.  An area of dark brownish-green soil with heavy concentrations of carbon and a moist consistency was noted in the western portion fo these meters at approximately 85cm b.d.  This soil, extending 37-40cm from the western baulk, was designated Locus 44.  Work within the locus produced 30 pieces of terracotta, 5 chunks of plaster, 1 latte of ceramic and bone and numerous ceramic fragments - ridged impasto (Find #2, 7), incised impasto (Find #5, 8) and incised bucchero (Find #4) and a fragment of possibly molded impasto (Find #9).  Beneath this locus, the continuation of the flat rock to the north was uncovered at a depth of 90cm b.d.  The appearance of the

stone is indicative of bedrock.

The area immediately to the east of the continuation of the flat stone maintained the designation Locus 41.  This area yielded a dense concentration of closely packed stones occuring in a linear arrangement with stones in meters to the N and S.  The stones occured at a depth of 80-86cm b.d., and continued to be designated Locus 43.  They were cleaned and defined.  Work produced a fragment of incised impasto (find #6), 1 fragment of terracotta and 1/2 latte box of ceramic and bone.  Baulks were trimmed along the western edge, the eastern edge (S10-11) and the sourthern face along the wall of OCIII.  Material from this work included a carbonized seed (Find #3)
