Cleaning continued in the northern end. At 3.15m W and 1.10m S a fragment of a terrcotta human head showing a life-size ear ( 19670006

19670006
) was found. The southern end was taken down to the level of trench 1K (about 30 cm) and the top of the wall cleared through the width of the trench. It showed no indication of turning. In clearing over the wall a worn piece of horse-race frieze was also found (#3).
