Conclusion
Considering the goals outlined for T-85, the 2016 excavation of the trench was not successful. While it was known that excavation would begin in remaining redeposited soil from 2015's excavations, the discovery of the older soil dump was unexpected. The first locus under the definitively noncontextual loci proved to be sterile, and work in T-85 ceased after confirming this. As a result, no securely dateable material was recovered from the trench.
Due to T-85 being located on the site of two separate soil dumps, there was also no opportunity to clarify any stratigraphy of the area contemporary with EPOC IV. Therefore, neither of the primary goals of the trench's excavation were met. No further excavation in the immediate vicinity of T-85 seems necessary in pursuit of these goals.
