Cassette of plaster = 1 1/2 (40% vitrified)
The cut down to floor level (a packed plastr area - at approximately 70 cm) was continued in beta/50-52. The cut was completed and the soil yielded a large amount of pottery (mainly impasto), a fair amount of tile, and a large amount of plaster- much of it vitrified. There is evidence of burn in this stratum - especially at the bottom. The plaster concentration was located at the base of the cut as well. Some large rocks were removed from beta/52 (at a depth of 50 cm).
