Corpus Domini, supposed to work until 12:00. Hard rain at 9:00; work stopped.
Area F-H 2
Work continued unvocering hte western face of stone wall , now S of UB posthole stones: cf p. 91 of sopra.
We start working in F-G 2, and go S-wards. The space to work in is made very narrow (only a ca 60cm wide strip N-S) by Red Area Wall in 1/2 which has to be left out.
Dug level in F-G 2 beside big stones: some few centimeters below upper surface of stones.
Digging in B stratum, working down some 20cms to start with.
Soil heavily burnt, reddish, with big pathces of black; of quite the samw character as the soil of destruction level dug yesterday in E 2-3.
Finds:
Find #2: Joins with p. 29, #3
Made some more approx. measurements of big stone wall:
It's probably N and esp. S ends are equidistant from R5 UB N wall and RS/Courtyard UB wall, respectively:
Moreover, it is nearly parallel to UB R5/R6 wall to the west. (how is this?)
(Big stone wall: the day of the tribune theory!)
