T6D-E
The wheelbarrow path was now completely demolished, and the underlying wall was defined clearly. Work was then resumed in the remaining strip of T6E, where the number of procession frieze fragments had caused delay in the excavation process. In the layer now excavated, that is the lower part of the 3rd, 1 box of tile fragmentswas collected from an area ca 3x2 m large, starting from the E end of the cut.

Wood was gathered and put into piles and little excavating was therefore accomplished. The grid F-H 5 produced 2 rosettes some fine pottery (impasto and buff clay), and one gorgon (2/3 preserved).
In T6E and also T6F several fragments had been formed of what seemed to be parts of pottery. Characteristic for these fragments were finished circular holes on one or two sides. Two pieces joined and show that these holes were placed in the body of a vase. For what purpose? (
) The holes vary in size and the sherds are of different thicknesses and fabrics.

Work recommended on the southern end of the area F-I, 8-10. It became obvious that the earth around the outside of the stone rectangle (yellow) was of a different color from that which was inside (black). The area of black earth inside was covered by a layer of red to reddish brown earth (
). Tiles and bits of pottery, bones, and teeth continued to be found.Descriptive Attribute | Value(s) |
