T23: 1979 Extention (meters EE-II, 16-13) was cleaned of the winter erosion in order that photographs and drawings of the trench could be made. The silt which had washed down into the trench was removed, the stratigraphy made clear, and the stone packing which runs approximately east-west in the southern end of the trench was re-exposed. It should be noted that a pithos fragment was found during the clean-up effort.

The north face of T23: 1979 Extentions (meters C-CC, 16-14) was cleaned of the winter erosion. The soil is still extremely wet and the clean-up process will not be able to continue until the soil drys. It should be noted that approximately 1/2 casseta of pithos fragments were recovered. At present, this trench still requires a good deal of work before it will be suitable for photographing and drawing.
