AM
We began by levelling the area of locus 8. It became clear that there was a soil change throughout this area. This new soil is greyish brown in colour and has a grainy texture and has been designated locus 10.
After depths were taken for the new locus a cut was made in meters 50-51S 166E and was then followed by a cut in meters 50-51S 165E.
PM
After lunch the baulk walls wre trimmed. After that a pick pass was made in meters 50-51S 165E. These meters were brought down to the same level as the floor of locus 9.
finds:
baulk walls: 1/2 bowl of terracotta; 1/2 latte of pottery and bone
locus 8: 1/2 bowl of terracotta and plaster; 1/3 pottery and bone
locus 10: 1/4 bowl of terracotta; 1/3 latte of pottery and bone
(bowl is 25.5 cm in diameter)
