The third layer was taken off at the E side of the trench. The western part was cleaned. Under the patch of red earth there appeared a pocket between two lines of bedrock. Our part, grid D5 contained black (burnt?) soil, the rest galestra. Nothing was found in the pocket except a few sherds in the black soil. One piece of banquet frieze was found and 7 boxes of tiels were dumped in all.
