19710653 19710653 palmette pattern, several pieces which seem to form a lattice-work, fragments of two pieces with one pointed end, ca 15 triangles (See LB p. 65) .  One sliver of obsidian and one of gold.

The burnt stratum, str. D, was lifted throughout grid C-1-2.  A small ship remains in C 3-4.  The ivories and the bronzes occur all through this stratum with a concentration in C 3-4.

  • Two ivory petals with nail holes

Tile fragments appear throughout the stratum.  Pithoi fragments are rare- so far only one rim fragment and one piece with a rope pattern have been found.

There is no indication of a distinct floor level in this Rectangle.  A heavy brown soil and some stones follow below str. D.  No finds from this soil in C 1-2.
