Opening elevations were taken of Locus 2.

NW (14 N, 81 E) – 28.39m AE

NE (14 N, 85 E) - 28.36m AE

Using a pick axe, a pick pass was made through the trench to level locus 2 with a particular focus on the eastern half.

Trench was cleaned of roots using clippers.

During leveling of the southeastern quadrant, bedrock was discovered. The bedrock was noted to continue into the eastern baulk wall and into the eastern wall extension.

Due to extension of bedrock and lack of material and contextual evidence, we will no longer be continuing with both the eastern extension and trench.

We did not begin excavating Locus 3.

Closing elevations were taken.
