AM
This morning was spent cutting back the baulk walls to the string, and defining around roots that could not be removed yesterday. Beneath a rooty stump on the western wall, a small bronze sphere was found, possibly a bead. Three "sling stones" were also recovered from various areas. Various fragments of impaasto ceramics were also recovered, and one piece of glazed medieval ceramic, for which the coordinates were E 197.87 / S 93.43, elevation 22.11 m.

The area was swept and cleaned. More sling stones were found, and a large piece of the rim of a pythos. Its coordinates were E 197.95 / S 94.70,
and its depth 22.36 m. Elevations were taken to close Locus 1 and open Locus 2 (
