Trench Summary
The primary goal for the area of T30 was to explore the area in order to locate a possible large flat stone that aligned with those identified in T22, T26, and T30, though no stone was found, much was revealed in this area. One of the specific goals for this trench was to explore the extreme S of the Archaic building to answer the question of whether that side of the building was decorated, while no significant amount of architectural decoration was found, fragments of a raking sima, a feline water spout, and gorgons were recovered.
The other notable thing to come out of this trench were several pieces of cut bone and an incredibly large amount of pottery and bone from the orientalizing burn layer. These things can all serve to help better the understanding of the the Archaic and Orientalizing buildings.
