Photographs of the trench were taken.  The pan tile in M/85 measures 54 cm x 79 cm - full lenght and width preserved.  One finger hole exists on a flange.  The tile lies w/ the length parallel to the S.E. Building.  Plastic was put down and backfilled over this and other tiles.

NOTE: 7/11/89

The architect's reading on the center of the M/85 pan tile is 26.64, only 4 cm above the level of the nearby column base.  M.S.W.
