An area 3 m long, 11-13 and 3 m wide, B-D was excavaed down to the level of the rock packing which is aligned est to west. What appears to be a corner of the foundation wall was found in section B-11. From this corner the rock packing moves south. Stratigraphy reaveals a reddish top soil which moves down to a light yellow layer to a light red layer of soil at the same depth as the top of the foundation wall. Chunks of plastering material were found just above the corner of the wall (
).A variety of material was found off the N.W. corner of the foundation wall. Pieces included parts of bone, coarse-ware pottery rims, handles and occasional bucchero fragments. This material was at a depth equal to that of the top of the foundation wall. A fragment of bronze and a piece of incised impasto handle were found outside the corner of the wall.
