Locus Summary

Locus 1- light yellow brown soil (Munsell 2.5y 6/3) with carbon flecks.  Within the confines of previously excavated Trench Ag9BT (E125-8, S20-21).

Locus 2- densely packed formation of large, flat stones, possibly bedrock.  Within the confines of previously excavated Trench Ag9BT (E125-8, S20-21).

Locus 3- Topsoil/ dark gray soil with heavy concentration of stone, roots, leaves, and decayed vegetal matter. (Munsell 2.5y 5/3) (E125-8, S20) =7,12,23

Locus 4- Light yellowish-brown soil with lime and stone. (Munsell 2.5y 6/3) (E125-128, S20) =8,14

Locus 5- Pale yellow soil with heavy concentrations of carbon flecks. (Munsell 2.5y 7/3) (E125-8, S20) =9,11,15

Locus 6- packing of large stones, possibly bedrock (E126-7, S20) =10,16,24

Locus 7- Topsoil/ dark grey soil with heavy concentrationof stone, roots, leaves, and decayed vegetal matter (Munsell 2.5y 5/3) (E125-128, S19) =3,12,23

Locus 8- Light yellowish-brown soil with lime and stone (Munsell 2.5y 6/3) (E125-128, S19) =4,14

Locus 9- Pale yellow soil with heavy concentration of carbon flecks (Munsell 2.5y 7/3) (E125-128, S19) =5,11,15

Locus 10- Packing of large stones, slightly separated, portion of wall (E126-128, S19) =16,24

Locus 11- pale yellow soil with concentration of carbon flecks and stone (Munsell 2.5y 7/3).  Excavated separately for stratigraphic information re: locus 10 (E125, S19) =5,9,15

Locus 12- Topsoil/ dark gray soil with heavy concentration of stones, roots, leaves, and decayed vegetal matter (Munsell 2.5y 7/3) (E126-129, S17-18) =3,7,23

Locus 13- pale grey soil of displaced dump (Munsell 2.5y 7/2).  Occupies small portions of E126, S17. Material discarded

Locus 14- Light yellowish-brown soil with lime and stone (Munsell 2.5y 6/3) (E126-129, S17-18) =4,8

Locus 15- pale yellow soil with heavy concentration of carbon flecks (Munsell 2.5y 7/3) (E126-129, S17-18) =5,9,11

Locus 16- Formation of regularly packed stones in a line; wall (E128-9, S17-18) =10,24,6

Locus 17- yellow-brown soil with concentration of carbon flecks (Munsell 2.5y 7/3).  Designated by position west of wall. (E126-127, S17-18).

Locus 18- area of loosely-packed stones (E126, S17-18)

Locus 19- yellow-brown soil with concentrations of carbon flecks (Munsell 2.5y 7/3).  Designated by position east of stone feature (locus 18). (E126-127, S17-18)

Locus 20- wet, loose yellow-brown soil with patches of dark brown decayed vegetal matter.  Possibly displaced dump.  Designated by position west of stone feature (locus 18) (E126, S17-18).

Locus 21- Pale yellow soil with carbon flecks (Munsell 2.5y 7/3).  Designated by position east of wall. (E129, S17-18)

Locus 22- yellow soil with carbon flecks (Munsell 2.5y 7/4).

Locus 23- Topsoil/ dark grey soil with heavy concentration of stones, roots, leaves, and decayed vegetal matter (Munsell 2.5y 5/3) (E128-9, S16) =3,7,12

Locus 24- formation of regularly packed large stones; wall (E128-9, S16) =10,6,16
