A slim amount of pottery was recovered from CA88 throughout the 2017 excavation season. A total of 31 pieces were discovered with only 25.81% of these diagnostic and the rest, body sherds. The vast majority of material derived from Locus 1 (67.74 %) with only some deriving from Locus 2 (22.58 %), Locus 3 (3.23 %), and the baulk trim (6.46 %). Since Locus 1 and 3 were topsoil, the materials were in non-contextual loci and do not aid in our understanding of the area, especially because of the high levels of erosion that occurred throughout the area. Of the materials found, most were impasto fragments (58.06 %), with a few fine impasto pieces (38.71 %), and a single Medieval pottery fragment from Locus 2 on July 12th.
