Cleared general area of the trench of bushes and grass using clippers and machetes. Laid out a 5 x 5m trench using triangulation.
PM
Finished clearing the inside of the trench of grass. Opening photos were taken. Opening elevations were taken.

Excavation began at the southern boundary of the trench in 1m increments towards the northern boundary.
Soil is a dry, light, grey-brown color and has natural inclusions of roots.

A piece of glazed medieval pottery was found in the SE corner of the trench.
A second pick pass was carried out 2/3m.
Roots were clipped in the area of the two pick passes.
