Work started on the Northern extension of the trench with two men only. The foreman being absent this day. A grid was made out for the whole trench with letters from South to North and figures from West to East(see plan p. 5). This day was found a small pieces of sima in D1, one nearly full box of tiles, not
very much pottery, all very much fragmentary and two small pieces of bronze.
