Bone Summary

A significant amount of bone fragments were recovered from Agger 9 Ext., from every layer of stratigraphy.  The bones were generally small and worn and seem to have been from small animals such as sheep or goats.  There is no evidence of working on any of the fragments.  Several cinghiali teeth were also recovered, including find #3, p. 29 .

A total of 323 bone fragments were recovered, including long bones, jaws and teeth.  The greatest number (108) was found in the stratum containing concentrations of carbon and possibly associated with the orientalizing destruction phase of the site.
