Daily Log

July 12, 2001

Last day of wall defining.  We have defined to the east into an area where the soil becomes deeper that covers the wall.  This coincides with the area cleared last friday that will serve as the areas for the T9 trenches.  One will be dropped on the northern side of hte wall, the other on the south.  The same work as yesterday yieleds 2 1/4 boxes of terracotta and 1/2 a box of pottery/bone.  Over the last two days pottery volu8mes have increased because of the deeper soil.  Unfortunately, it is still unsifted backfill, so all things are out of context.
